Vintage Chanel Caviar Leather Tote

Circa 2002-2003 Chanel tote crafted in rich red caviar leather with gold-tone CC hardware. The relaxed, oversized silhouette is finished with leather shoulder straps connected by sculptural gold-tone chain links and opens to a spacious tonal CC jacquard interior with three compartments and three zipper compartments.  Finished with front and back compartments with button closures.

Design & Context:

Dating to circa 2003–2004 from the Karl Lagerfeld era, this Chanel tote captures the house’s early-2000s approach to everyday luxury. Classic Chanel codes, caviar leather, interlocking CC hardware and chain detailing, are reworked into a softer, more understated day bag designed to be carried and lived in.
